Chanza is a société par actions simplifiée unipersonnelle (SASU) with a share capital of 1,000€, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 989 129 051, having its registered office at 7 rue Sedaine, 75011, Paris, France. 2. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of Chanza's event services for university students ("Service"). By registering or accepting via the platform, the user ("Participant", "you") fully accepts these Terms.

3. User Eligibility & Safety Requirements

To use our Services, you must meet the following requirements:


  • You are at least 18 years old or of legal age to enter into a contract under the laws of your country of residence
  • You are an individual (not a legal entity or corporation) acting as a consumer
  • You are a current student or alumni of the university for which the event is organized
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with Chanza
  • You have not been convicted of or committed any serious offense, sexual crime, or violent crime
  • You have not been previously banned from our Services unless explicitly authorized in writing
  • You do not pose a threat to the safety or well-being of other participants

If you no longer meet these requirements, your access to our Services will be automatically revoked, and we may delete your account without notice.

4. Service Description

Chanza organizes dinner events where university students are grouped based on answers to a personality questionnaire. We handle restaurant and bar bookings, match-making, and group assignments.


Participation fees vary by city and are displayed during the registration process (excluding meal and drinks payable to the restaurant directly).


We make no guarantees regarding:


  • Specific gender ratio or age range at events
  • Compatibility with other participants
  • Unique participants at each dinner (you may meet individuals from previous events)

5. Restaurant Services and Venue Information

Restaurant Reservations and Disclaimers:


  • Restaurant addresses will be communicated via the platform on the day of or day before your event
  • We reserve the right to modify the restaurant or location due to unforeseen circumstances
  • If dietary preferences are selected (vegetarian, vegan, etc.), we cannot guarantee availability of these options at the chosen restaurant - these are treated as guidelines, not restrictions
  • We do not guarantee the absence of allergen cross-contamination or strict adherence to dietary restrictions
  • If you have serious dietary restrictions or allergies, review the restaurant menu directly before the event
  • The cost of meals, food, and beverages is not included in the Service fee and is entirely at your expense
  • Only reservations made through the Chanza platform are accepted or refundable - we are not responsible for bookings made outside our platform

Event Attendance:


  • You agree to attend the dinner alone - guests are not permitted, even if they are Chanza users
  • The duration of dinners is determined by the participants

6. Registration and Tickets

  • To participate, you must register using accurate personal and university information, including verification of your student/alumni status
  • Your university email may be required for verification
  • Registration is confirmed upon payment
  • Tickets are personal and non-transferable
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials

7. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Cancellation by Participants:


  • You may cancel your participation up to 48 hours before the event via the platform
  • Cancellations made within the allowed timeframe will receive an automatic refund via your original payment method
  • Refunds may take 5-10 business days to process
  • No refunds are granted for cancellations made after the 48-hour deadline
  • Accumulating three or more late cancellations within two months may result in suspension or banning from the platform

No-Shows:


  • Absences without prior notice are considered no-shows and may be reported by other participants
  • Repeated no-shows may result in suspension or termination of your account

8. Participant Obligations and Prohibited Activities

You agree to:


  • Provide accurate information about your identity, age, and university affiliation
  • Maintain account security and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Comply with applicable laws and safety guidelines
  • Respect other participants, restaurant staff, and venue rules

You agree not to:


  • Misrepresent your identity, age, university affiliation, or any other information
  • Provide false information during registration or in your personality questionnaire
  • Disturb the event's proper organization or engage in disruptive behavior
  • Harass, insult, discriminate against, or harm other participants or venue staff
  • Solicit personal or financial information from other users for commercial purposes
  • Share content that is offensive, abusive, discriminatory, or violates public decency
  • Use another participant's account or share your account credentials
  • Conduct political campaign activities or seek to influence elections using our platform
  • Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or commercial activities not related to the event experience
  • Share private or proprietary information without proper authorization

Content Restrictions:


You are prohibited from sharing content that:


  • Is offensive, abusive, racist, discriminatory, or causes psychological harm
  • Contains false, fraudulent, or misleading information
  • Violates intellectual property or privacy rights of others
  • Includes unauthorized depictions of individuals

Non-compliance with these obligations may lead to immediate exclusion from events, account suspension, or termination without refund.

9. Service Pricing and Payment

Prices are displayed on the platform. Payment is due in advance. In the event of payment failure, your registration may be cancelled.

10. Event Changes and Force Majeure

Chanza reserves the right to modify or cancel events in case of insufficient bookings, venue unavailability, or force majeure events as defined under Article 1218 of the French Civil Code. In such cases, you may be refunded your participation fee.

11. Liability

Limitation of Responsibility:


Chanza is responsible only for organizing events as described. We are not liable for:


  • Restaurant services, food quality, beverages, or accidents at the venue
  • Acts of third parties, other participants, or force majeure events
  • External network issues, server failures, or equipment interruptions outside our control
  • Meals, food, or beverages provided by restaurants

Scope of Liability:


Our liability, if any, is limited to direct damages and shall not exceed the total amount paid by the participant in the 12 months preceding the event that caused the liability.

12. Intellectual Property

All content and materials (logos, algorithms, platform, questionnaires) belong to Chanza and are protected under intellectual property laws. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the platform for private purposes only.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal data is collected for participant management in compliance with the GDPR and French law. See our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we handle your personal information and your related rights.

14. Image Rights

By attending Chanza events, you consent to being photographed or filmed. Chanza may use your image, name, and voice for promotional purposes worldwide unless you notify us by email at edouard@chanza-club.com before the event. This consent extends for the duration of your participation and up to 3 years thereafter.

15. Withdrawal Rights

14-Day Withdrawal Period:

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days from the date of accepting these Terms, without giving any reason.

To exercise your withdrawal right:

  • Send a clear statement of your intent to withdraw to edouard@chanza-club.com
  • Include your name, registration details, and date of purchase
  • You may use the withdrawal form template below

Refund Process:

  • Once we receive your withdrawal notice, refunds will be processed using the original payment method
  • Refunds will be issued without undue delay, no later than 14 calendar days after receiving your request
  • If you have already attended an event, you may be charged proportionally for services already provided

If mediation fails or you choose not to use it, you remain free to take the matter to competent courts.

17. Changes to Terms

Chanza reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time with at least 15 days' notice before their effective date. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law, unless otherwise stipulated by mandatory consumer protection provisions.
